SURAKARTA, UNDIP (Sept. 29) – Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), through its Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences via the World Class University Program (WCU UNDIP), collaborated with the Center for Biotechnology and Biodiversity Research and Development (P3BB) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) to organize “The 13th International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture and Environment” (ICSAE-13). The international conference was successfully held on September 24–25, 2026, in Surakarta, Indonesia.

ICSAE-13 was structured with a hybrid format comprising a General Assembly and Parallel Sessions, held both onsite and online. Meanwhile, online parallel session presentations were conducted on September 25, 2026, via Zoom Meeting with a total of 179 participants.

Key Highlights and Strategic Developments

In his remarks, UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si., expressed deep appreciation for the well-established inter-university synergy. “The close collaboration between UNS and UNDIP in organizing ICSAE-13 demonstrates the strong commitment of Indonesian higher education institutions to addressing global challenges, particularly in formulating solutions and innovations for sustainable agriculture and environmental preservation,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, Dean of the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at UNDIP, Prof. Sugiharto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., also highlighted the importance of this international platform in advancing the agriculture and environment sectors. “We are very proud that the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at UNDIP could collaborate to make this event a success. Through cross-country knowledge exchange at ICSAE-13, we hope to generate precision ideas and appropriate technologies capable of maintaining food security in a sustainable manner,” he affirmed.

Sustainable Impacts and Global Collaboration

On the first day at UNS Tower, the program proceeded systematically, beginning with an opening ceremony, a Keynote Session, thematic onsite parallel presentation sessions, and a closing session. To broaden outreach and knowledge transfer to a wider audience, presentations by invited speakers at the General Assembly were also livestreamed via the official ICSAE Network YouTube channel.

Similar to initiatives introducing appropriate precision technologies to the wider community, the collaborative organization of ICSAE-13 is expected to spearhead efforts for researchers and academics to continue adopting and disseminating more advanced agricultural innovations for future welfare and environmental sustainability.
